The annual Shocker Honors Scholar Reception, which recognizes highachieving high school juniors each fall, was held on Monday, Nov. 11.
Representing Eureka Junior/Senior High School (EJSHS) at the reception were Britta Mongeau, Lydia Mason, Ava Noble, Madelyn Miller, Harlie Ownings and Alaina Westerman. The reception was to honor juniors across the State of Kansas for their academic success in high school. During the event, juniors had the opportunity to connect with current WSU students, staff and faculty and hear about their experiences as Shockers. Each junior honored was presented with a certificate and a custom pennant to recognize their accomplishments. Other EJSHS juniors nominated, but unable to attend, were Hannah Perrier, TJ Mills and Will Fitzwater.
