Madison’s football team concluded their 2024 season last Friday, at home, during a sectional matchup against Clifton-Clyde. The Bulldogs finished the season with a 7-4 overall record, winning the Bi-district and Regional championship. Madison finished their season as Sectional Runner-up.
Against Clifton-Clyde, Madison struggled to contain the Eagles’ offense as they allowed three touchdowns in each quarter in the first half. Clifton- Clyde attempted the two-point conversion on all six and were successful on five of them. Madison was named Sectional Runner- Up in the DI 8-man football championship, falling 0-46.
Clifton-Clyde (9-2) will face Central Plains (9-2) in the Sub-State championships this Friday, Nov. 22, in Claflin at 6 p.m.
“We are proud of the perseverance and grit that our team showed throughout the 2024 season. We had our share of adversity, but the team’s character never wavered, and our strong leadership carried us to a strong finish,” stated head coach Nathan Teichgraeber. “We are proud of our team, and especially the seniors for their leadership: Colton Isch, Packer Bolinger, Cade Hurlburt, Will Grimmett, Gabriel Villarreal and Reily Maier. The 2024 Madison Bulldogs left their mark and they added to the great tradition that the Madison Football program carries,” he continued. Passing
