The Madison Bulldogs “weathered the storm” last Friday night at Brookville, as the Bulldogs took down Ell-Saline, 14-12.
“Defensively, we took the wind in the 4th quarter so it would be tough for them to throw the ball into the heavy wind and rain,” stated head coach Nathan Teichgraeber. “We wanted to have a lead going into the 4th quarter, and were fortunate to have it play out in our favor. They had a hard time throwing the ball late, when they had to move the ball quickly,” he continued.
Madison will now host Clifton-Clyde for sectional action this Friday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m.
Clifton-Clyde is one of the best and most consistent 8-man programs in the state. “Offensively, their quarterback is very dynamic as a runner and passer. He can make plays from the pocket, and when the play breaks down he can extend plays with his legs and keep his eyes downfield finding his wide receivers,”stated Teichgraeber.
“We look forward to hosting the Sectional Championship back home, at McClain Field, this week. We need a rowdy crowd in place to support the boys as they have made tremendous strides this season,” stated Coach Teichgraeber. “We hope the Dawgs are hungry this week and are ready to get after it in front of the home crowd.”
