Rockin’ Robin!

With the “broken record” of my editorials this year, it is no surprise that this year has been one of the most difficult for yours truly. There have been many days where I question if I am where I am suppose to be or if I can continue to succeed in this profession. The thoughts of my struggle made it to the sixth grade class at Marshall Elementary School and a group of them sent some amazing words my direction. They shared what they loved about the newspaper. These included the horoscopes, local content and simply finding their names and/or pictures included from time to time. They even noted the importance of a community newspaper.

The struggle bus can take us all on difficult road trips from time to time. But, our community (and its youth) are there to bring us back to a solid path.

Our country has seen a drastic shift in only sharing negative happenings with one another; thus ignoring a lot of blessings that are all around us. Many are sharing daily blessings through the month of November and I encourage you to join in. You don’t have to even verbalize your blessings or the positive things around you. But, I do recommend you at least think about them.

Our future is bright! We just have to not let the negativity dim our light.
