The month of October was very busy for the Harmony Sunflowers 4-H Club. To begin the month, the club held their annual Club Achievement Banquet with members, families and close supporters. The attendees shared dinner together and then each 4-Her shared information about their 2023-2024 projects.
The club celebrated 4-H week with a few activities. On Sunday, Oct. 13 the club visited the Christian Congregational Church for 4-H Sunday services. Fourteen members and four parents attended the church service with the club. Later that day, the club met at the Christ Lutheran Church to complete their 48 Hours of 4-H activity. Twelve members and six parents worked together to clean different parts inside and outside of the church. The group also worked to organize a few of the basement rooms.
Ten club members attended the county-sponsored officer training held on Oct. 16 in Eureka. The officers learned more about their elected spots and how to best serve their club.
To spread more information about 4-H and what the club does each year, a few members from the club and also the Fancy Mustangs club shared information about 4-H with the students at Marshall Elementary School, in Eureka on Friday, Oct. 18.
