The community gathered over the weekend for the annual Greenwood County Cattlemen’s Day event, in Eureka for several activities.
In it’s second annual contest, the Steak Cook-Off had three participants competing. Winning the contest was Latham Wiggins. Winners for the annual parade were as follows: 4-H Floats- Harmony Sunflowers, 1st place; Madison Pacesetters, 2nd place; All Scout Groups- Girl Scouts, 1st place; Non-Profit Organizations- Greenwood County Hospital, 1st place; Commercial Floats- Flyin’ 3 Veterinary Service, 1st place; Farm Bureau Association, 2nd place. Horse with Riders: Oldest Rider-Bryan Bogle; Youngest Rider- Buster Bogle; Farm and Ranch- Wiggins Ranch, 1st place; Lindamood Ranch, 2nd place; Buggies and Wagons- Tressie and CD Gulick, 1st place.
The annual event concluded with the banquet at Memorial Hall with Barry Corbin serving as the entertainment.
