Eureka Volleyball Falls To 4-18

The Eureka Tornado High School volleyball team split wins last week with Bluestem.

The Eureka Tornado High School volleyball team split wins last week with Bluestem.

On Tuesday of last week, the varsity squad fell to Caney, 19-25, 2519 and 22-25 and won over Bluestem, 25-15, 2025 and 25-17.

In junior varsity action, Eureka defeated Caney 25-20, 21-25 and 15-5 and fell to Bluestem 2225 and 17-25.

On Thursday of last week, Eureka hosted Fredonia and Iola. In varsity action, the Tornadoes fell to Fredonia 24-26 and 9-25 and to Iola 16-25 and 11-25. Junior varsity defeated Fredonia 25-20 and 25-13 and won over Iola, 25-22, 22-25 and 15-9. In C-team action, the Lady Tornadoes fell to Fredonia 20-25 and 9-25.

“It’s exciting to watch how the varsity team has grown together over the season and how they are really starting to mold as a team,” stated head coach Faith Rucker.

Eureka will travel to Circle this Saturday, October 7, at 9 a.m. for their annual tournament.
