Fire crews responded to two fires last weekend, with one outbuilding damaged in the two fires.
Eureka Fire Department (EFD) and Greenwood County Fire - Central Division responded to the report of a fire at an oil well, just west of the playground area at Marshall Elementary School on Friday, Oct. 18, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly before damage to any structures occurred.
On Saturday, Oct. 19, EFD and multiple county divisions responded to a structure fire at 1104 V Road, shortly before 5 p.m. The residence is owned by Bryan and Kelli Hughes. The outbuilding received heavy damage and the garage, attached to the house, sustained slight damage.
