The Madison Bulldog football team secured their week 9 home advantage last week as they claimed a 52-6 victory over Flinthills on Friday, Oct. 18, to move to 4-0 in district play and 5-2 overall.
Madison tallied 20 points in the first quarter, only allowing 6 for the Mustangs before adding another 32 points in the second to win 52-6 at halftime.
Bulldog senior Colton Isch found the endzone for all seven of Madison’s touchdowns. He scored on a 28-yard run, 39-yard run, 9-yard run, 57-yard run, 12-yard run, a 32yard run and a 2-yard pass to Cade Hurlburt.
Isch was successful on 2 of 3 passes, for a total of 6 yards. He rushed 12 times for 250 yards and 6 touchdowns. Cruz Leiser rushed 9 times for 66 yards.
Also recording a reception for the evening was Brayden Grimmett, who recorded 1 pass for 4 yards.
Defensively, the Bulldogs were led by Lane Smith, who had 5 tackles and 2 assists; Octavian Dean, 5 tackles, 2 assists and 2 sacks; Hurlburt, 4 tackles and 4 assists; Isch 3 tackles and 2 assists and Drake Loveall, 3 tackles and 4 assists.
Madison will host Chase County (3-0 in district play and 4-2 overall) this Friday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. and will host week 9 action either Thursday, Oct. 31 or Friday, Nov. 1.
