Eureka Tornado Football Suffered Loss At Richmond-Central Heights

The Tornadoes let one get away against the Central Heights Vikings last Friday, Oct. 18. With a home playoff game on the line, the Tornadoes did not play like themselves. The offense was stuck in neutral, only putting up 14 points and a team that wanted to hold the ball as long as possible was a perfect storm for a let down game.

TJ Mills was a bright spot in the game putting up 120 all purpose yards on offense with an incredible 97-yard touchdown run. While the defense didn’t give up a lot of big plays, it proved to be difficult to get off the field. Noah Rippy once again led the defense in tackles with 15 total tackles including one tackle for loss. Mills added 7 tackles with a tackle for loss. Kalim Mouer added 5 tackles all for a loss to the stat sheet as well.

The Tornadoes look to get back on track in their last regular season game and Senior Night at Home vs Reno County Home School this Friday, Oct. 25, with kick-off slated for 7 p.m., with senior night festivities, honoring those in football, band, girls golf, cheer and cross country, beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Eureka will then be on the road for week 9 action.
