Flyin’ 3 Veterinary Service, which serves Greenwood, Elk and Chautauqua Counties and the surrounding communities, was recently recognized as the 2024 Southeast Regional Agribusiness award winner at a special Kansas Department of Commerce’s To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards Ceremony.
A record 346 businesses, organizations and individuals were nominated in nine categories for this year’s awards. Nominees were reviewed and scored for various criteria, such as business expansion, employee recruitment and retention practices, training and educational programs, capital investment and support of local community events. A total of 226 Merit Awards and 45 Regional Awards were presented at the event. Additionally, one nominee in each category was designated a Statewide Winner, making them finalists for the Governor’s Award of Excellence.
Nu Life Market of Scott City received the statewide Agribusiness award this year.
Dr. Kailey Fitzmorris, owner and veterinarian of Flyin’ 3 Veterinary Service, attended the special ceremony in Great Bend on Thursday, Oct. 10.
