Claimed First Place At Erie Scramble
Eureka Lady Tornado senior Keira Crisswell had a successful week last week, bringing home hardware from both meets.
On Monday, Oct. 7, Crisswell placed 10th at the Anderson County Invitational, with a 96 (49/47).
On Thursday, Oct. 10, Crisswell participated in the junior varsity scramble at Erie. She was placed with two Erie golfers and the team claimed first place honors with a score of 39. Second place was won by an Erie/Uniontown team, who shot a 42. On Monday, Oct. 14, Crisswell competed in the 3-1A Regional at Caney. The tourn ament was still underway at the time of publication.
The top three teams and the next five indiv iduals not on a qualifying team will qualify for the state tournament, at Emporia Municipal Golf Course, next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 21-22. The top six teams and the next 18 individuals or 54 total golfers plus ties will advance to the second day of action.
