WELCA met on Thursday, Oct. 3, in the Christ Lutheran Church bell tower room, with Joni Booth presiding.
Sue Erickson gave devotions from Matthew 5, the Beatitudes.
Roll call was answered by five members, with a Bible verse.
Erickson read the minutes
of the Sept. 5 meeting.
Kids camp had 17 in attendance.
Communications included Oaks Mission.
Old business included discussion about the annual Church Bazaar, Nov. 23. The auctioneer and clerk were secured; flyers and sign-up sheets are needed for food and help. The 4-H Club has been asked to help set up and aid diners.
Work on the Upper Fall River Church outhouse is in progress: septic tank delivered and hole dug. Builder has been contacted.
Grace Stacy gave the program from the church cookbook: Recipe for Happiness and a Friendship Recipe.
The next meeting will be Nov. 7, the Thankoffering. Pat Surber will give devotations; Sue Ellen Wenthe the program and Erickson will provide refreshments.
The Lord’s Prayer was recited in unison. Surber provided refreshments.
