The weather has been wonderful. No heat, nor AC required. Perfect weather for outdoor activities.

If you look as you’re out and about, fall flowers are in bloom. In addition to the Crepe Mrytle, I have Live Forever Plants and other unknown flowers in our yard.

I enjoy driving around town looking at all the pretty flowers. I don’t know much about flowers, so I don’t know which ones are perennial or annual. I just know they are pretty.

Who is recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s best selling fiction writer?

Hello to all in area nursing and assisted living facilities. Hello also to all in are hospitals and rehab centers.

We offer our sympathy to all others who lost loved ones this past week. May they all rest in peace.

My favorite singer/songwriter, Kris Kristofferson, passed away Saturday at the age of 88.

Our new puppy, Taco, loves to eat ice. Every time you get ice out of the ice maker, he comes running waiting to pick up what gets dropped.

When he’s been a good boy and I reward him with a treat, I could save money by just giving him ice cubes! Punky never has liked ice cubes, she would look at you like you were either cheap or crazy when you tried to give her an ice cube!

Answer: Agatha Christie. The 115th Annual Toronto Alumni Banquet will be held this Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Toronto Gym. Doors open at 11 a.m. and lunch, catered by Silverado's in Piqua, will be served at noon, followed by a business meeting and visiting. Getty’s ‘76 will open early that day for those that would like to continue visiting after the banquet and meeting are adjourned.

The banquet is open to alumni members and their guests. If you went to school here and would like to become a member, leave me a message at 620-6372388 or text Sharri Fuller at 620-473-0408 to let us know.

The second monthly “First Saturday Farm and Art Market” is Saturday morning also, with many more vendors lined up and several local musicians will be on hand to entertain throughout the morning.

I noticed the other day while waiting for the stoplight to change, that people are using those stops to clean the trash out of their cars. That is not a trash dump. It doesn’t matter if it’s the one north of town, west of Neal, east of Yates Center or any road construction spot, that is not a trash dump!

Save a plastic bag from your last shopping trip, place it in your car, put trash in the bag, then throwaway when you get home. We live in a pretty area, please don’t mess it up by throwing trash on the ground!
