The week of Sept. 30, the Kansas Department of Transportation expects to start a handrail and deck overhang repair project at the Verdigris River bridge on U.S. 54. The bridge is just west of the Greenwood/ Woodson county line.
Temporary signals will control one-lane traffic in the work zone area; expect brief delays. Weather permitting, the repairs should be completed by mid-November.
