With hopes of officially opening its doors on Monday, Oct. 7, Nick Schaffer is completing a goal he set for himself nearly a decade ago. Schaffer, a 2014 graduate of Eureka High School, has always wanted to return to Eureka and own his own business. While in high school, he attended Flint Hills Technical College, where he studied Machine Tool Technology. While learning the trade, he realized he wanted to focus on body and collision repair and enrolled at Butler Community College. He earned his Body and Collision Repair certificate in 2016.
After earning his certificate, Schaffer worked at Flint Hills Collision Center in El Dorado before moving to Utah and working for multiple collision centers. Schaffer returned to Eureka and jumped at the chance to purchase Drake’s Body Shop, when he learned Paul Drake was looking to retire. His dream of owning and operating a business in his hometown is now a reality.
He and his wife, Dominique, will work together to serve the community with collision and glass repair. They are pictured above with their children Jackson and Jolene.
