The Patriots of West Elk dominated Udall last Friday, Sept. 20, for their Homecoming game.
After just one quarter of play, the Patriots led 56-0. West Elk added 16 points in the second to cap off their Homecoming win, 72-0.
West Elk’s offense rushed 21 times for 183 yards and had three passes for 63 yards; while, the Patriot defense held Udall to 19 yards on 21 rushes and 24 yards on nine pass plays with 1 interception.
The Patriots scored with a 28-yard run by Trent Haag (2 point conversion rush good by Creyo Koop), a 16-yard run by Koop (2 point conversion rush good by Maddex Moreno), 39yard pass from Haag to Koop (2 point conversion rush good by Moreno), 43yard rush by Koop (2 point conversion pass good from Haag to Garett Usry), 30yard interception return by Usry (2 point conversion rush good by Koop), 12-yard pass from Haag to Morgan Anderson (2 point conversion rush good by Moreno), 12-yard pass from Haag to Kase Kill (2 point conversion rush good by Moreno), 25-yard run by Moreno (2 point conversion rush good by Koop) and 3-yard run by Trace Toon (2 point conversion rush good by Toon).
The game was called at halftime, with the Patriots crowing Moreno as this year’s Homecoming King and Josey Toon being crowned the Homecoming Queen.
The Patriots travel to Oswego this Friday, Sept. 27. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
