Mongeau Placed Eighth At Clearwater XC Invitational

Eureka was represented last week in Clearwater as Tornado Cross Country began their season at their annual cross country invitational, on Sept. 5.

Eureka was represented last week in Clearwater as Tornado Cross Country began their season at their annual cross country invitational, on Sept. 5.

In the high school girls open 5K, Tornado Britta Mongeau claimed an eighth place finish with a time of 22:29.29.

Lady Tornado Reata Bogle competed in the high school girls 2-mile freshmen/ sophomore run. She finished the race with a time of 24:20.72 for 45th place.

Tornado senior Ethan Bauer competed in the boys 2-mile junior/senior race. He completed the run in 15:24.66 to place 40th.

In the seventh grade 1-mile boys race, Tornado Nolan Morris placed 11th with a time of 6:16.80. Fellow seventh grader Henry Lindamood finished with a time of 8:24.26 to place 66th.

In the eighth grade boys 2-mile race, Tavin Austin placed 48th with a time of 16:34.80; Brayden Buck finished in 54th place with a time of 17:12.78 and Cohen Marks placed 73rd with a time of 20:03.16.

Eureka High School cross country runners will travel to Girard (Greenbush) this Thursday, Sept. 12. Both Tornado high and junior high school cross country runners will travel to Central of Burden on Thursday, Sept. 19. Eureka will host their annual meet on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
