Construction To Begin At New Severy Water Plant

Following multiple delays, crews were to break ground on the construction of the new city water plant in Severy on Monday of this week. During their most recent council meeting, Mike Younger, project engineer with Evans, Bierly and Hutchison Associates, brought the council up to date on the water plant project. Younger mentioned that they are working on utilizing existing pipes and shared the contractor is used to doing this and Severy is getting a good foreman.

With preliminary items completed, the council approved a change order, regarding piping changes, and a notice to proceed.
