If you didn’t find something you wanted or needed, you didn’t look very hard. I saw everything from apple butter to watermelons. Activities like this are great for our small towns, bringing people out and together.

What is a “Clatterfart?” It's not what you first think!

We offer our sympathy to all who lost loved ones this past week. May they all rest in peace.

Hello to all in area nursing and assisted living facilities. Hello also to all in area hospitals and rehab centers.

What a hectic past couple of weeks. Wade was in the hospital, we have a new puppy at home and everything was a madhouse.

I felt like I was not getting anything done. Came home from the hospital one day to find Colette Link had made me some dark chocolate tapioca pudding and washed up my dishes.

Sandy DeLucia had been taking care of Punky and Taco as well as doing some much needed trimming around the house and yard.

Another big surprise was coming home and finding the yard had been mowed!

Chad and Vicky Altis mowed everything. What a welcome relief that was!

Sandstone Market is temporarily closed. They are making changes. Can’t wait to see what’s up with them.

The frustrating bridge construction north of town is getting more frustrating.

The lights really seem to be out of whack and the construction crew missed out on a whole week of beautiful weather for working. Don’t know what was up with that, but the wait for lights seems to be getting worse.

Maybe it’s just me, but the other day the light just turned red as I pulled up and stopped and a song just started playing on a CD I was listening to. Right after the song ended the light changed. When I got home I looked to see how long that song was and it was 3 minutes and 45 seconds.

That’s not a real long time span, but when you are sitting and waiting it seems like forever. I keep telling myself, “It will be great when they get the job done.” This is but a minor inconvenience. Thankfully, the highway wasn’t completely closed and traffic rerouted.

Answer: It’s an archaic term for a gossip or someone who talks too much.

The Toronto Alumni will be holding their annual banquet and meeting on Saturday, Oct. 5 at noon at the gym. The banquet is open for Alumni Members and their guest. Seniors who graduated in 2024 are eligible to join if they live in the Toronto area and would have attended school in town here had there still been a school.

If your parents or grandparents are members, regardless of where you went back to school, you may join. For more information on eligibility, contact one of the officers: President - Kathy Cummings; VP Rex McVey; or Secretary/ Treasurer - Sharri Fuller.
