High School Football To Participate In Jamboree On Friday

This Thursday, Aug. 29, the Eureka Tornadoes, both junior high and high school, student-athletes will be announced, with several taking to the court and field, for live scrimmage action.

At 5:15 p.m., the junior high cheerleaders and junior high volleyball players will be introduced in the Tornado Activity Center (TAC). The junior high volleyball players will scrimmage from 5:20 to 5:50 p.m.

At 6 p.m., the high school volleyball players will be introduced with their scrimmage to follow from 6:20-6:50, also in the TAC.

At 6:05 p.m., introductions for the junior high football team will be held at McGinnis Field. They will scrimmage from 6:20 6:50 p.m. At 6:50 p.m., introductions for high school girls’ golf, junior high and high school cross country, high school football, high school cheer and high school band will be held, at Mc Ginnis Field.

T h e evening will conclude with the high school football team running a few plays, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

A donation of a case of water would be greatly appreciated as admission to the scrimmages.

The Eureka Booster Club will also be hosting their annual membership drive. They will begin serving a meal at 6 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 29. Additional information can be found elsewhere in this week’s edition of The Eureka Herald.

On Friday, Aug. 30, the Eureka Tornadoes high school volleyball and football teams will travel to Marion for the annual Jamboree. Volleyball action is slated to begin at 5 p.m., with football action beginning at 7 p.m. The Tornadoes will face Remington and Marion during the annual jamboree.

Admission to the scrimmage and the jamboree is one sports drink per person (per event).
