Spring and Fall are awesome times of the year with so many changes taking place. The leaves will be turning soon, so it’s about time for some backroad cruising. What is your favorite thing about Fall?

Cups of hot cocoa, bonfires, no need for AC, s’mores, soups, casseroles, leaves changing colors, and the Fall flowers with beautiful shades of red, yellow and orange! Did I miss anything?

We offer our sympathy to all who lost loved ones this past week. May they all rest in peace.

The book drop off, located outside the Toronto Library building on the west side, has a new look. Drew Hoag took the thing home, cleaned it up, fixed what needed fixing, repainted it and set it back in place on the corner of the building.

A benefit fundraiser was held Saturday for a member of the Toronto Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD). Her and her husband have been members of the TVFD for over 15 years. There was a good turnout for the event.

On Sept. 7, Toronto will be a buzz with activities. There will be biscuits and gravy at the Toronto Senior Center from 7-10 a.m. as well as a “Farm and Art Market” up and down Main Street.

Many people will be on hand to show their goodies. Anything and everything from artwork to zucchini! Mark your calendars and come to town that day for all the fun activities.
