Historical Society Featuring Display On Community Of Climax

The Greenwood County Historical Society has begun a new display series showcasing communities in Greenwood County beginning with the community of Climax. Items in the display include a letter jacket, a basketball uniform, photos and information about buildings in the town of Climax and a feature on the Order of Eastern Star and Bernadine Russell who served as Worthy Grand Matron for the State of Kansas in 1963. Formals that she and her daughter-in-law Hazel Russell, who served as a Page for the Grand Chapter meeting in Topeka, are included in the display.

The museum is open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
