The “Question of the Week” for last week was: “How has inflation impacted your daily life?”

Following are the responses: Hal McBride - “It made my mind sogg when i saw gasoline at $2.84 a gallon!!!”

Eldon Austin* - “Biggest impact for me is I want to get a better vehicle and it’s way more expensive. I grow most of my food so not that big of thing. I eat less meat than before.”

Merry Barrentine* - “I miss fresh fruit and veggies.” Travette Lewis* - “I have had to eliminate a lot of extras as far as tv streaming programs, buy what’s on sale at the grocery store and less trips to OKC to see my kids.”

Bridget Strickland* “Knowing it won’t go down is the real problem. Rising blood pressure is a health concern.”

Susan Epperson* - “Seems everything interest rates on credit cards, gas, groceries even utilities going up what they consider small increases all added together a big deal.”

Brandy R Craig* - “We used to travel a lot with our fosters and since inflation now we choose to stay home most of the time and go on our evening family walks with the kids instead of on a family drive. I truly think the kids are enjoying the family walks because now they ask us to go on them.” Susan Richling* - “I’m working 2 jobs just to keep health insurance and pay my bills!”

Kelly Birkholz* - “More ramen noodles ever!”

Rachael Hatfield* - “We have to get a roast on sale and have it sliced and pretend it’s a rib eye.”

Benjamin Lewis* - “I had to really cut down on everything including going to work and buying a newspaper.”

Chris Hansel* - “KGB pays less for espionage” Rick Barb Stout* - “The sticker shock at the grocery store.” Cindy Jones-Williams* “Rick Barb Stout it depends on where you shop” Maria Watchous* - “How do people afford $150 concert tickets? Tattoos are crazy high, that’s just two small examples. Cell phones and 65 inch TVs are everywhere . I’m not seeing a bad economy.”

Melissa Craig* - “Inflation is so bad I know many facing paying basic bills(water/ electric/car/car insurance/ past hospital bills/etc) or buying gas to get to doctors appointments or healthy foods.”

Aaron Cline* - “One of the worst things is housing cost went way up along with interest rates. A $100k house with a mortgage payment of $800 a month is now a $175k house with a $2,000 payment...”

Steve Buchanan* - “Have to do with less of everything. My wife and myself doubled our income about 2 years ago and Kamilanomics has destroyed/stolen any gains we might have made.”

Gloria Roberts Stevenson* - “Steve Buchanan, agree” If you have a recommendation for the “Question of the Week” please send it to Robin at news@eurekaherald. com, or stop by 822 E. River St., Ste 100.
