Rockin’ Robin!

Just like that, summer fun is wrapping up as students (and faculty/ staff) are returning to the classrooms for the 2024-25 school year. Area schools began last week, with Eureka USD 389 starting the new adventure this Thursday. Fall sports practices began on Monday of this week and before you know it, parents/guardians and fans will be busy throughout the week as they chase their favorite Tornado/Bulldog/Tiger/ Patriot.

With the start of this school year, both of my boys will enter the halls of Eureka Junior/Senior High School, as we now have a freshman and a seventh grader. I’m not sure how this has happened so quickly; but, we are here and ready for it. Knowing that the next six years will fly by just as quickly, I want to share that you may not see me at as many nightly meetings. I will be attending sporting events to watch the boys. They will only be this age once and I want to soak up all the memories possible.

As the students return to the classrooms, remind them that this is a new chapter of their story. It’s a clean slate and theirs to write. Wishing all our students, faculty/staff and their families a wonderful year.

I would also like to say THANK YOU to the generous donor who provided a subscription to the gentlemen who had not elected to renew noting that inflation had finally broke him. We appreciate you! Also, thank you to the family who gifted us a beautiful framed copy of an ad featured in an old edition of The Eureka Herald.

Robin Wunderlich Quote of the Week

“A new school year means new beginnings, new adventures, new friendships and new challenges. The slate is clean and anything can happen.” ~ Denise Witmer
