Eureka’s Cash Fuesz Claimed 1st in Tie-Down Roping

Three Greenwood County Cowboys claimed earnings over the weekend at the 13th Annual Eureka Pro Rodeo event, which was held at Eureka Downs on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 16-17.

Eureka’s Cash Fuesz claimed top honors in the Tie-down roping event, finishing with a time of 8.2. Fuesz competed in the slack performance on Friday morning.

Elmdale’s Brody Harrison, a Eureka graduate, and Madison’s Trent Burd tied for second placed in the Saddle Bronc event, with a score of 83.5. Both Harrison and Burd competed in the event on Saturday night.

Eureka’s Trevor Don- also represented Greenwood County on Saturday at the annual event as he competed in steer wrestling.

A total of 18 youngsters, six and under competed in the Mutton Bustin’ event with Oden Mullins winning Friday night and Pate Schankie claiming the title on Saturday night. Both were awarded a trophy and belt buckle. All participants were given a medal. Others participating in the event on Friday included: Rook Samuels, Aubryn Demel, Case Osborn, Emma Milner, Waylon Hawthorne, Evelyn Browne and Rowen Ratley. Saturday participants were: Radley Whiteside, Korbynn Winn, Jaxon Smith, Kipton Ramsey, Trayce Wells, Kydon Ramsey, Bash Foth, Oak Cornett and Kaydenn Winn.
