County-Wide Siren Testing Moved To Tuesdays

Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13, storm siren testing in Greenwood County will be conducted on Tuesday afternoons at 1 p.m. Sirens are owned and operated within the following cities: Madison, Hamilton, Eureka, Fall River and Severy.

Sirens will be sounded weekly through October 31, weather permitting. Sirens will not be tested if overcast or severe weather conditions are forecasted.

During severe weather it is Greenwood County policy to NOT sound an all clear tone. If the siren is activated multiple times, new warnings have been issued.
