The Wednesday, Aug. 7 special meeting of the Greenwood County Commissioners was called for review of the revised budget and presentation of Resolution 24-6, pertaining to property tax sale.
Commission Chairman Ben Fox shared the following as the revised mill levy figure: 78.98. This is decreased from the previous fiscal year levy rate of 80.938. Before revision, it was shared that the original proposed figure was 79.139 before revision. In additional changes, the budget item under the heading of Unified Court was split in two: Contractual Services and Indigent Services. This was reported to have been done to increase detail and the dollar amount was not adjusted with the change. Commissioners present approved the revised budget for publication.
Tax Sale Resolution 246, authorizing proceedings, was presented and approved.
Commissioners Paul Hodge and Roy Ballard were absent from the meeting.
