The minutes for the June 25 meeting were ap proved unanimously.

In public forum, Coach Nathan Teichgraeber was present for a general discussion regarding football camps.

A general discussion regarding the current budget status was held with the current cash position given by the treasurer. The consensus of the board was to seek an increase in the mill levy to 1.5 mills due to the amount of new recreation opportunities that are being provided and the goal to incorporate more opportunities for the local youth in the near future.

Director Jon Larkin provided a report regarding the conclusion of the successful baseball/softball season. He provided several different styles of football jerseys from which to choose for the Madison Recreational team. The board was provided with the proposed rules for the upcoming season. The MRC approved to increase Tony Haag’s compensation from $2,000 to $2,500 for his work chalking all of the fields this season.

MRC member Paul Dean proposed Sept. 21 as a volunteer weekend to pour cement pads in six dugouts. MRC member Dylan Barnard requested that Director Larkin look into updat- ing the type of flags used for flag football to the ball and socket style. Football sponsors were discussed and thereafter Dean motioned to seek up to two sponsors at $250 each or one sponsor for $500 on a first come first serve basis.
