Eureka Garden Club met Friday, September 1, at 11:30 a.m. at TNT Catering. Lunch was served to eight active members and one associate member. The hostesses for the meeting were Sheila Hughes, Vicki Lindsey and Rise Russin.
Hughes gave the mini garden report. She reported that the plants selected for the garden in the spring had held up well in the heat. The hydrant in the northeast corner of the garden has been repaired.
Three months did not have anyone signed up for hostess in the Program Booklet. Leslie Spillman and Marilyn Seymour volunteered for January 5th’s meeting; Lindsey volunteered for March 1 and Carol Ann Flock volunteered for April 5.
Garden Club will be meeting at TNT Catering and the Country Club every other month this year.
Hughes gave a timely program about Garden Clean-up for Winter.
Patricia Soule and Sandy Dickerson won the door prizes which were garden solar lights.
Next month hostesses will be Marilyn Cathey and Ann Coon. The meeting will be at the Eureka Country Club, on Friday, October 6.
The meeting was closed with the “Gardener’s Creed.
