Cash Fuesz Recognized For Top Earning Going Into Finals

Last week, Cash Fuesz represented Eureka well as he competed in the tie-down roping finals at Cheyenne Frontier Days, in Cheyenne, Wy.

While at the world’s largest outdoor rodeo, Fuesz earned the most money going into the finals, earned the #1 back number and was the last of 12 to rope.

Fuesz caught and tied the calf, but was unfortunately disqualified as he took the rope off of the calf afterwards to protect his horse, which had stepped over the rope. The horse and rider walked away fine.

Fuesz plans to compete in Dodge City on Aug. 1; Winfield on Aug. 4 or 5; Mound City on Aug. 9 or 10; Coffeyville, Aug. 14 and 15 and locally on Aug. 16 or 17 at the Eureka ProRodeo, with others on the horizon.

Fuesz is a junior at Weatherford College, in Weatherford, Texas, where he is studying Organizational Leadership. He is the son of Cory and Heather Fuesz of rural Eureka and the grandson of Irlene and the late Clint Huntington, also of rural Eureka and Gary and Vicki Fuesz of rural Haxtun, Colo.
