Madison Pacesetters 4-H Club
Members Lane and Laikyn Henke present their projects for the fair during the Madison Pacesetter’s Fair Tour.

On July 5, the Madison Pacesetters 4-H Club held their annual Fair Tour and July monthly meeting. The annual Fair Tour consists of members traveling to other members’ houses or farms to meet their animals or see their handmade projects. The Fair Tour gives 4-Hers an opportunity to showcase their projects before the Greenwood County Fair. This is one of the club’s favorite traditions because 4-Hers are so proud to show off their hard work.

Before the Fair Tour, the Madison Pacesetters held their July meeting. Twelve members, two cloverbuds and two leaders were present. Leader Ty Gaines discussed what the club’s responsibilities are at the Greenwood County Fair. These responsibilities include finding volunteers for trash can duty and fair building watch. T. Gaines also let the club know that one of their main priorities should be keeping livestock areas clean and livestock healthy. T. Gaines also reminded the club of a few important dates coming up in July. These dates are: July 1 Fair Entry closed, July 5 Sign-up for consultation times opened, July 20 Greenwood County Photography Judging, July 20 Greenwood County Horse Show, July 22 Set-up for Greenwood County Fashion Revue, July 24 Greenwood County Fiber Arts Judging, July 24 Greenwood County Style Revue, July 26-29 2024 Greenwood County Fair and July 29 Madison Pacesetters August Meeting.

During the program.

was sung to Brooke Gaines and Leader Sherry Roth.

Members also took this time to talk about what they will bring to the Fair.
