Received Top Honors At Greenwood County Fair Shooting Sports Events

The 2024 Greenwood County Fair is just a little over three weeks away and pre-fair events kicked off recently with shooting sports events.

The 2024 Greenwood County Fair is just a little over three weeks away and pre-fair events kicked off recently with shooting sports events.

The annual archery contest was held on June 22 at the Eureka Lake Dam and the annual shotgun contest was held on Sunday, June 23, at the Eureka Gun Range. Awards were presented during a special banquet later that evening.

Archery

Grand Champions:

Cub: Noah Everly-Burtin Juniors: Camden Wunderlich Seniors: Wylee Boulanger

Reserve Grand Champions: Cub: Kolten Morton Juniors: William Burkhart Seniors: Chason Gulick Others competing in the Cubs division included: Clay Teter, Duke Coulter, Charlie Conard, Bryce Teter and Brody Rockhill.

Others competing in the Junior division included: Larkyn Bailey, Fisher Hobbs, Brody Mitchell, Eli Mason, Ruger Schouten and Jackson Hobbs.

Others competing in the Senior division included: Cody Johnson, Cort Decker, Makenna Engle and Paiton Gravatt.

Shotgun

Grand Champions: Juniors: Fisher Hobbs Seniors: Hunter Olson and Wylee Boulanger

Reserve Grand Champions: Juniors: Brody Mitchell Seniors: Cassidy Baker Also competing in the junior division was Wunderlich.

Others competing in the Senior division included: Gulick, Johnson and Carson Ramsey.

The annual Greenwood County Fair will be held Friday, July 26-Monday, July 29, with pre-fair events resuming on Saturday, July 20 with photography judging, beginning at 8 a.m., and the horse show at the Saddle Club Arena, beginning at 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend the horse show.

Pre-fair events will continue on Wednesday, July 24 with fiber arts and clothing projects. A public fashion revue will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24 at 7 p.m. The pubic is invited to attend.

Complete results from all Fair events will be included in a special section, following the Greenwood County Fair.
