Several Area Communities Planning Festivities In Honor Of Independence Day

With our nation’s Independence Day this Thursday, July 4, area communities are planning special events in honor of our nation’s 248th birthday.

With our nation’s Independence Day this Thursday, July 4, area communities are planning special events in honor of our nation’s 248th birthday.

Eureka will host their annual Party In The Park on July 3 and 4. Among the events is live music by Vegan Shark and Savanna Chestnut, former contestant on The Voice. See related article. An addition to the schedule printed in last week’s edition is the annual Eureka Lake Boat Parade. The event will be held on Saturday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. Participants are asked to begin lining up at the east boat ramp at 7:15 p.m.

The annual Piedmont Rodeo will be held on July 3-4 beginning at 8 p.m. both nights, with a fireworks display planned for 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.

Hamilton will host their 4th of July Party in the Park on Thursday, July 4, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Hamilton City Park, with a fireworks display slated for 10 p.m.

The Dean family will also be putting on their annual 4th of July display from their family’s lake, south of Madison, at 10 p.m. on July 4.

Toronto Days will be held July 1 July 7, with their annual fireworks display being held at dusk on Friday, July 5. A complete schedule of events can be found on page 10.
