As the month of June concluded, so did the Eureka Recreation Commission (ERC) summer ball seasons.
Last week, seasons for t-ball, girls and boys coach pitch, ponytail girls, boys machine pitch and major boys seasons came to a close. The ERC was also represented in the Neosho Valley Junior League (NVJL). The girls’ season concluded on Friday, with a third place league finish. The boys’ season concluded on Monday of this week where they faced EB Sports and Outdoors for third place honors. Editor’s note: this week’s edition went to print prior to the games outcome.
In the coach pitch girls division, Team 2 defeated Team 3 in the championship game, 5-1. In the coach pitch boys division, Team 1 defeated Team 2 in the championship game, 8-3.
In the ponytail division, Team 1 defeated Team 2 in the championship game, following an extra inning of play, 7-6.
In the major boys division, Team 2 defeated Team 1 in the championship game, 7-6.
