Inwood Attended SEKLS Innovation Day

Library staff from Hamilton City Library attended the Southeast Kansas Library System (SEKLS) Innovation Day Event held at the Iola High School Science Center in Iola on June 7. Beth Inwood, Director of the Hamilton City Library, was among the 36 people who were in attendance as Darrin Daugherty, SEKLS Technology Consultant; Jason Robb, SEKLS SEKnFind Coordinator; April Hernandez, SEKLS System Consultant; Tammie Benham, SEKLS Youth Services Consultant and Cynthia Chalker, Special Needs Consultant, presented various presentations on Makerspace Software, Canva, LibraryAware, Cricut Design, Word-Press/DIVI and Kansas State Library Databases. They shared information about how libraries statewide can best use technology funds and programs to market their services. Laure Beckman and Brittany Simpson from Mound City Kansas Public Library provided instruction on the Cricut.

Attendees could attend two of these four morning and afternoon workshops and participants earned continuing education credit for attending.
