Change is hard.
Change means things will be different than what we are used to and that is the hard part.
“The way it’s always been” is the easiest.
Things may be easier, but change is transformative – hopefully for the good, it just takes work (a lot of work) to get there.
Words cannot express the gratitude we have, but also the sorrow we have in losing our dear Lucas Herb-Mullin.
Lucas, we are so impressed with all you have accomplished since taking on the roll of city administrator for our beloved Eureka.
Positive change is all around us! And we know it was hard to get us to where we are. You will leave behind big shoes to fill for this roll, and our hope is that whomever steps into this roll continues us on the path of zenith progress.
As for you, our sweet friend, we are excited to see how you soar in your next roll, and are thrilled that you are staying in your hometown and will continue to be a member of the community that loves you so much.
