Homecoming Royalty To Be Crowned Next Friday During Special Ceremony

Homecoming festivities for Eureka Junior/Senior High School will begin on Monday of next week as spirit week kicks off.

Spirit days for Homecoming week follow the theme “A Netflix Original Homecoming.” Monday, September 25 is “All American,” - wear American Clothes (Red, White, and Blue); Tuesday, September 26 is “Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse” - dress like Barbie or Ken; Wednesday, September 27 is “Outerbanks” - Pouges vs. Kooks (Hawaiian vs. Country Club); Thursday, September 28 is Binge Watch Day - Dress in PJs; and Friday, September 29 is “Emily in Paris” - Dress your best for a day in Paris.

Homecoming royalty, voted on by students in grades nine through twelve, was announced last week. Pictured above, from left to right, are King candidates (front row): Carl Biering, Cole Adkins, Lyle Perrier, Colby Altis and Wylee Boulanger; and Queen candidates (back row: Annaliese Casper, Lyndsey Escareno, Makyla Gore, Katie Morris and Brenn Hilton. The crown bearers for this year’s event are Jad Day and Harper Seeley, first graders at Marshall Elementary School.

A special assembly will be held at 1:15 p.m., next Friday, where the King and Queen will be crowned. The annual parade will follow at approximately 2 p.m.
