The Top Hand Youth Rodeo Association (THYRA) saw a total of 474 entries during their 2024 opening weekend held June 1-2, with a total of 85 contestants competing.
Following were the award winners: Senior Boys: A tie between Aidan Gould and Brock Baumgartel; Senior Girl: Braelyn Graber; Intermediate Boy: Kamdon Barnett; Intermediate Girl: Dally Umphenour; Junior Boy: Ben Erichsen; Junior Girl: Mayley Decker; Peewee Boy: Cash Wedman; Peewee Girl: Tulsa Lilley.
All-Around winners won a bucket donated from Bomgaars, a rope donated by K-S Productions, horse treats from Tractor Supply and a water gun.
K-S Productions hosted a goat roping and had over 120 teams participated.
THYRA will hold their next rodeo July 6-7. Entries will open June 24 for the second weekend of rodeo action.
