The Madison/Virgil USD 386 Board of Education held a special meeting on Thursday, May 30, where they approved the contract with OPAA, accepted a teacher resignation and a resignation from a board member.

The Madison/Virgil USD 386 Board of Education held a special meeting on Thursday, May 30, where they approved the contract with OPAA, accepted a teacher resignation and a resignation from a board member.

President Dallas Luthi called the May 30 special board meeting to order at 8 a.m. Roll call was answered by D. Luthi, Jannette Luthi, Ty Gaines, Amy Hind, Justin Isch and Jennifer Watts. Also attending were Superintendent Tammy Baird and Marcie Harrison. Board member Gary Kile was absent.

The board approved the contract with OPAA for the 2024-2025 school year.

Following three executive sessions, totaling 20-minutes, for personnel matters, the board accepted the resignation of Latham Wiggins as Vocational Agriculture instructor/FFA Advisor. The board also accepted Kile’s resignation from the board. The board expressed appreciation to Kile for his years of service to the district.

The board held a fiveminute executive session to discuss student maters. No action was taken.

The meeting adjourned at 8:38 a.m.
