For the past few months, Deputy Clinton Hansen, also known as “Porkchop,” has been serving Greenwood County, a role he has been in for 13 years.

Prior to joining the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Hansen served citizens of Elk County for the past eight years and Osborne Police Department for five years.

“I’ve always had interest in law enforcement,” he stated. “From seeing the flashing lights as a young child to learning and understanding the actual aspects of the job as I grew older, I’ve always been drawn to Law Enforcement,” Deputy Hansen continued.

While serving in Elk County, he was able to work with many agencies, including Greenwood County. “I felt that Greenwood County would give me the opportunity to be part of a proactive agency and still have the small hometown feel.”

Deputy Hansen grew up in Phillipsburg, graduating with the class of 2006. He earned an Associates of Applied Science degree in Computer and Electronics Technology from Northwest Kansas Technical College.

He is also a certified firearms instructor, a distinction he earned in 2021.

In his spare time, Deputy Hansen likes to spend time outdoors, take road trips, tinker with electronics and computers and play Xbox with friends.
