Ashley Marie Olson of Eureka and Ronald Daely Shear of Paris, Ill. announce their engagement.
Olson is the daughter of Lynn Olson of Eureka and Lafe Olson of Charleston, Ore. She is the granddaughter of Margret Bautista of Eureka, and the late Diana Olson formerly of Charleston, Ore. and the late Lars Olson formerly of Dearborn Mich.
The bride-to-be is a 2012 graduate of New Beginnings and went on to attend Butler Community College after high school.
Ronald Shear is the son of Brooke Shoemake and Dave Shoemake of Paris, Ill. He is the grandson of Penny Smith of Danville, Ill.
The prospective groom is a 2020 graduate of Paris High School. He is currently employed at G&W Foods in Eureka.
A Sept. 20, 2025 wedding is being planned and will be held at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs.
