The MK Barrel Series held their final barrel races on Friday, September 15, at the Eureka Saddle Club arena.
The series consisted of eight barrel races for Pee-Wee, Youth and Open age groups throughout the summer. Prizes, including custom made belt buckles, were awarded to the top winners in each age group after the completion of the finals races.
Year-End PeeWee Winners were: 1st Place - Gibston Tharp; 2nd Place - Hartley Treadway; 3rd Place - Miah Hughes; 4th Place - Emerson Thomas.
Year-End Junior Winners were: 1D: 1st - Blakely Jones, 2nd Hannah Livergood, 3rd Bileigh Jo Youngblood. 2D:
1st - Kaylon Thatcher, 2nd - Laycie Jones, 3rd - Gariston Tharp. 3D: 1st - Gariston Tharp, 2nd - Danya
Anderton, 3rd - Gibston Tharp.
Open Year-End Winners: 1D: 1st - Deann McCaffree, 2nd - Blakley Jones, 3rd - Kerry Harrod, 4th - Georgia Kelly. 2D: 1st - Blakley Jones, 2nd - Jesstine Dierks, 3rd - Bileigh Jo Youngblood, 4th - Kerry Harrod. 3D: 1st - Courtney Strickler, 2nd - Hannah May, 3rd - Shelaine Thomas; 4th - Jesstine Dierks.
4D: 1st - Georgia Tharp, 2nd - Kaley Wolting, 3rd - Shaunna Fillmore, 4th Hannah May.
This is the second year for the MK Barrel Series. It is hosted by Georgia Kelly, Kim Kelly and Hannah May.
Their next event will be a Barrel Race, Goat Roping and Hamburger Feed fundraiser to benefit Lacey Breech on Saturday, October 15.
