Joni Booth called the WELCA meeting to order on September 7 in the Christ Lutheran Church Bell Tower Room. Margaret Spires led devotions from Psalms 133.
Roll call was answered by 4 members, reciting a Bible verse. Sue Erickson, secretary, read the minutes of July 6. These were approved. Spires gave the treasurer’s report.
Correspondence included a note from the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, asking for donations for their child safety program. The group voted to donate to the Sheriff’s Office.
Old business included $3 donation for prize money for the quilt’s blue ribbon at the county fair.
Booth led the lesson on, “Sing Out Loud,” music is the pathway to healing. Members assisted with Bible verses.
The October 5 meeting will be led by: Erickson devotions, Spires program leader and Grace Stacy serving refreshments.
The meeting concluded with members reciting the Lord’s Prayer in unison. Booth served refreshments.
