Eureka And Hamilton Students Competed At ESU Special Athletics Track And Field Day

Students from Eureka Junior/Senior High School and Hamilton Junior/Senior High School traveled to Emporia on Friday, May 3, for the Emporia State University Special Athletics Track and Field Day.

Approximately 270 Students Participated In Annual Special Athletics Events

Students from Eureka Junior/Senior High School and Hamilton Junior/Senior High School traveled to Emporia on Friday, May 3, for the Emporia State University Special Athletics Track and Field Day.

Several claimed ribbons from the annual event. Following are the results:

Eureka Tornadoes

Albus Moralina: 1st-Frisbee Throw; 3rd- Running Long Jump; 8th- 50 Meter Run; 6th- 100 Meter Run.

Taylor Wells: 3rd-Standing Long Jump; 5th-100 Meter Walk; 4th- 50 Meter Run; 4th- Softball Throw.

Aribayla Nickelson: 6th Running Long Jump; 3rd 100 Meter Run; 7th Frisbee Throw.

Layne Noonan: 5th-50 Meter Walk; 3rd- 25 Meter Walk; 7th- Softball Throw; 3rd- Frisbee Throw.

Allisa Gulick: 5th- 25 Meter Walk; 5th- 10 Meter Walk; 2nd- Frisbee Throw; 2nd- Mini Javelin Lydia Cornett: 2nd Standing Long Jump; 3rd-Softball Throw; 5th- 50 Meter Run; 7th- 100 Meter Walk.

Jerry Claytor: 6th- Running Long Jump; 3rd-Frisbee Throw; 7th- 100 Meter Run.

Hamilton Tigers

Joseph Brown: 1st- Long Jump-6’5”; 3rd- 400 Meter Run.

Brody Emerald: 3rd-Softball throw-88’8”; 5th in Long jump-4’11”.
