The week of May 6, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) expects to start a project to replace the Cedar Creek bridge on K-105 in Woodson County. The bridge is 1.34 miles southeast of U.S. Highway 54.

The speed limit will be reduced through the project area with a driving lane width restriction of 13 feet. The bridge is being replaced one-half at a time. Temporary signals will control one-lane traffic at the work zone. Expect brief delays. The new bridge should be open in late 2024.

KDOT awarded the construction contract of $4.9 million to B & B Bridge Company LLC, St. Paul. Check KDOT’s updated traveler information website, www.kandrive. gov, for more highway condition and construction details.
