Rockin’ Robin!

It seems as if I blinked and the end of the 2023-24 school year is upon us. Area seniors are concluding their final days of high school and will receive their diplomas soon. As they embark on their next chapter, I hope they all chase their dreams and hopefully, one day, return to our area communities and thrive. Work hard, try your hardest and always strive to be the best version of yourself.

I remember my younger days and people saying “time goes faster the older you get” and laughing as if that wasn’t true. Two decades later I can attest that, “the days are long, but the years are short.” I’m fully aware that the next four (and six) years will fly by and before I know it, both of my boys will have graduated and I will miss these crazy days. Yet, I still can’t fathom that the Class of 2024 will be graduating so soon.

Among the Class of 2024 are some of my favorites, including my niece Julianna Schultz (Becky’s oldest), who will graduate from Valley Center High School this Sunday. She will be attending Southwestern College to pursue an education degree while playing softball for the Moundbuilders. It truly seems like yesterday that we were all anxiously awaiting her arrival.

Here is to wishing all members of the Class of 2024 the best. Do your best and be proud of your accomplishments. Now, go and spread your wings. Grow in mind, spirit and body. Continue to shine as you prepare to take on the world!
