Eight area students will represent their schools this Saturday, May 4, at the 2A State Forensics meet at Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita.
Three Eureka Junior/Senior High School students will represent the Tornadoes. Senior Asher Kern qualified in Poetry and Serious Solo Acting. Tornado junior Natalynn Gulick qualified in Poetry and Impromptu. Fellow junior Shelby White qualified in Prose.
Five West Elk High School students will represent the Patriots at the state meet. Andruw Rodriquez qualified in Impromptu and Original Oration. Kase Kill and Rodriquez qualified in Improvised Duet Acting. Savannah Stroot and Kill qualified to compete in Duet Acting. Emma Arbuckle qualified in Original Oration. Reghan Ervin qualified in Extemporaneous Speaking.
