The 2024 Flint Hills Classic Spring Livestock Show was held on Sunday, April 28, at the Greenwood County Fairgrounds in Eureka.
Four species - beef, goats, sheep and swine were shown by 4-H and FFA students from all over Kansas and other states. There were a total of 356 animals (145 Swine, 67 Sheep, 83 Goats, 58 Beef, 3 Bucket Calves) shown in showmanship, market and breeding classes.
The Classic was formed as a fundraiser 13 years ago and is hosted by the Eureka FFA Booster Club. The Booster club uses the fundraiser for various events to benefit the Eureka FFA Chapter, including offering college scholarships to outgoing seniors. They also split the proceeds from the show with the Greenwood County 4-H Foundation who use the money to host the Greenwood County Fair and for the upkeep and maintenance costs for the Fairgrounds property.
