Happy May Day!
April showers may bring May flowers as the old saying goes… but here in the Flint Hills, the motto is April burns bring gorgeous pastures. Doesn’t quite roll off the tongue, but it sure is true!
May makes for happy cows too. The ones that live here year around, but also the truckloads of steers and heifers have already started to arrive to feast on the best the Flint Hills has to offer…this beautiful green grass.
The start of May also is bringing our May Myreka meeting. Join us! The May Myreka meeting will be Wednesday, May 8, at 12 p.m. (Please note the change in date as this month the meeting will be held on a Wednesday).
